DSA examiners are going to be striking next week. It will not affect all examiners, only those who belong to the union. You should still present youself to your test at the correct time. If your test is cancelled, you will have another one booked for you.

The DSA will be asking driving test candidates whether they would like their instructor to sit in the test with them, and whether they’d like their instructor to listen to the end of test debrief. The 2 questions will be asked at the beginning of the test. This will begin on 6th April 2010.

Intensive Driving Lessons - take a crash course with JDS Bournemouth!
Sometimes called Fast Track lessons, or a crash course, Intensive driving lessons are ideal if you want to learn to drive quickly, or already have some driving experience and want to get up to test standard and pass your test fast. You could have, for example, 3 or 4 hours of lessons a day for a week, and your test at the end of the week. (If you’re a complete beginner you would probably need longer than this).
Whatever level you are starting at, intensive driving lessons can help you progress to driving test standard quickly. You can reserve half or whole days for your intensive driving lessons, or have one or two hour driving lessons more frequently than you might usually, (instead of one or two driving lessons per week, you could have one a day, etc).
Intensive Driving Lessons are charged at the hourly rate of £20, (or a block booking of 10 driving lessons for £190). If you would like half or whole days reserved just for you, please contact us for a quote.
Everyone learns to drive at different rates. The DSA published statistics stating that the average person needs 45 hours of professional driving lessons, and 22 hours of private practice. At JDS, most of our pupils have reached test standard and passed their driving test in less time than this.
Some people like to take their time with their driving lessons and space them out over a longer period of time. Others prefer intensive driving lessons and aim to reach test standard and pass their driving test in a shorter period of time.
